In a fine gilt ruled original contemporary full mottled calf leather bindings with red gilt lettered morocco labels. Half titles present in volumes 1 to 4. Volumes 1 to 4 are dated 1776, and vols.5-6 are dated 1777. Complete as issued with 21 engraved plates, as called for in the List of Plates at the end of volume 6. A rare book set in the original Contemporary full mottled calf leather bindings, tips, ends and edges of the boards professionally restored, a handsome and sound, very good set, some wear/tear/scuffing/chipping to covers, spine, ends & corners, some age toning, else, pages are unusually clean & bright, a couple of foldouts with edge wear tear, volume 5 label chipped with loss, only volume 6 is an Ex-Lib. with a slightly different look & with Lib. stamps on the first & last blanks & verso of plates, the bindings are tight & intact.
