First Edition. xi, 603 pp; 9 folding plates (plates 8 and 9 bound toward the beginning, apparently as issued as an opposite text leaf is a note describing those two plates). Original full leather, 8vo. Somewhat rubbed and worn. Old ink signature and notes on the two front blank leaves; a one-inch circular hole is punctured in the first blank. Else Very Good. Webster is, of course, still well known today primarily for his 1849/1850 conviction and execution for the murder of George Parkman.
