Edition originale. Le baron de Fain est un témoin proche de Napoléon. il entre en 1806 au cabinet particulier de l'empereur Napoléon Ier avec le titre de secrétaire-archiviste. Attaché à la personne de l'Empereur, il l'accompagne dans toutes ses campagnes et est créé par lui baron de l'Empire en 1809 et nommé maître des requêtes au Conseil d'État en 1811. Secrétaire particulier en 1813, il sert Napoléon jusqu'à l'abdication de Fontainebleau le 6 avril 1814. ___________________________________________________________________________________ ______________________________ENGLISH_DESCRIPTION : Contemporary quarter sheep, gilt-decorated flat spines. Baron de Fain is a close witness to Napoleon. in 1806 he entered the private cabinet of the Emperor Napoleon I with the title of secretary-archivist. Attached to the person of the Emperor, he accompanied him in all his campaigns and was created by him baron of the Empire in 1809 and appointed master of requests to the Council of State in 1811.
