Beschreibung
Small Octavo. Maroon cloth covered boards and spine with gilt lettering on both the spine and the front board. Book has plenty of bumping at the head and tail of the spine and a fair amount of bumping at the very tips of the four outside corners - all with light accompanying rubbing. Just a trace of rubbing around the outside edges. About 80% of the gilt lettering is still visible - long longer shiny, but gold in color and readable. Binding has a very slight forward lean, but is still firm. Some spots on the front board. Decorative yellow endpapers. Textblock has a few spots on the outside edges, but cream colored pages are clean inside. 263 pages. Yellow topstain. No dust jacket. This copy published in December of 1923; first printing was the prior August. Winner of the 1924 Pulitzer Prize for Novel, which later became the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction.
