In half calf binding with marbled boards and gilt detailing to the spine. Externally, some rubbing to the extremities and spine. Some light shelf wear to the boards. Internally, hinges are slightly tender. Binding is firm throughout. A few instances of light offsetting to the pages opposite the plates, and a few handling marks to the rear pastedown and rear free-endpaper. A tidemark to the frontispiece, a tidemark affecting the bottom of pages 1 to 8, and a small tidemark to the plate opposite page 250.
