FIRST EDITION. Octavo, pp. [4], 155. Colour frontispiece and 5 further colour plates, with additional monochrome illustrations throughout by John Nash. Publisher's tan cloth with gilt titles to spine in a price-clipped, pictorial dust-jacket. Bruising to spine tips and dust-jacket shows several closed tears with historic tape marks to verso with small areas of loss. Overall a very good book in like dust-jacket. Part of the British Nature Library series, and with dust-jacket design, drawings and lithographs by John Nash, this volume is a firsthand account of an English countryman's life throughout the changing seasons.
