Hardcover. Decorated boards show an image of the dancing Negrillonne in her distinctive red patterned robe. Within the story of her journey from Africa to Europe as a stowaway in an ocean liner, and her life in France. With coloured pictures on every page. Condition: Good. The boards are quite worn; rubbed at the corners and the edges. The pages within are a little browned but otherwise clean. At the back of the book they appear to have been glued back in so the pages do not turn quite as nicely as they ought. The front end paper has also been glued to the title page.
