Early promotional booklet issued by this construction company founded in 1894 in Lowell, Mass., known for its early use of re-inforced concrete in industrial building. The booklet has 1 page of text which states: "The following pages visualize the expansion of some of the larger manufacturing plants" in Connecticut done by Abernathy. There are 17 pages of photographs of plants including Acme Wire Co. (New Haven), American Thread Co. (Willimantic), Bridgeport Brass Co., Colt's Patent Fire Arms Mfg Co. (Hartford), a doublepage illustration of Winchester Repeating Arms (New Haven), Goodyear Cotton Mills (Killingly), and Singer Manufacturing (Bridgeport). A scarce work of which WorldCat locates only one copy. This copy is quite worn with some spotting to the covers, some chipping to the spine and edges, and a small piece missing from the upper corner of the front cover.
