Light blue cloth over boards with title and decorations stamped in dark blue onto upper board and spine, 8vo (8 inches tall), pp. xiv, 248, B&W photo frontis, illustrated throughout with technical drawings and B&W photos. The first printing of the first edition, having "1927" on both the title and copyright pages with no additional printings indicated and the Scribners seal on the copyright page. Volume with spine ends softened, a single pin hole to ffep and light offset to endpapers. Unclipped DJ with some fading, light soil and stains, closed tears (1 - 3 inches long at flap corners) chipping to edges and old price sticker at foot of front flap. An early work on the use of the motion-picture camera, still complete and in it's original dust jacket.
