(Back page full-color ad for Lucky Strike cigarettes in the green pack.) Contents page breaks the big news "Looks like (cover girl) Paulette Goddard Will Play Scarlett" O'Hara in "Gone With The Wind." Two page spread for Dorothy Lamour and Ray Milland in "Her jungle Love." (Was this just an off year?) Feature article informs us Ilona Massey will be Hollywood's top star in two years -- bigger than Garbo. Jimmy Cagney and the Dead End Kids, the Jeannette MacDonald-Nelson Eddy feud, Barbara Stanwyck's child custody battle, Frances Drake and Ann Sheridan will soon be on top in Hollywood. (Ann was a beauty. "Casablanca" might have helped Miss Sheridan, but she didn't land the role, as producer Hal Wallis traded Olivia de Havilland to David O. Selznick for Ingrid Bergman.) Curiously, we find no weight loss ads, while several promise skinny girls will look better with help to gain "25 to 40 lbs." Top corners curling a bit; 90 pp. monthly magazine. Reduced from $47.
