Red gilt-lettered cloth cover, clean, top spine a little rubbed, bottom has trace of rubbing only, corners slightly bumped. f/piece with tissue-guard+ xvi + 446; a few sm. paper splits to end gutters, internally otherwise clean, tight and unmarked, some ingrained dustiness to top edge of text-block. The editor calls this New Party the 'Isocratic Party' as a more radical version of the Liberal Party, but this clearly never caught on and soon seems to have merged into Keir Hardie's Independent Labour Party (he being one of the contributors plugging the I.L.P.) and hence hte modern Labour Party. Walter Crane also contributed as did A. R. Wallace, Grant Allen, Margaret Macmillan (after whom a London-based Teacher Training College was later named) and Lady Henry Somerset on 'The Woman's Cause', 28 contributors in all by my tot.
