An unusual example; I have not found any other copies noted with this makeup of pagination and signature delineation. Period 3/4 vellum with marbled paper covered boards. Oval inkstamp of a Firenze bookseller placed on the free front endpage and the half-title page. No mention of edition, nor of any other publisher or printer than Jeffs. Title is hand painted in black to otherwise unlettered vellum spine. This presumably was an early copy smuggled back to France. Binding sound and contents clean. Expected mild toning to page stock. Terminal printed leaf has a short tear at the top margin. Mild rub to vellum at edges. An unusual example of the original edition, with no priority known regarding 1st actual printing. VG.
