Complete in five volumes. Published between 1822 and 1824. I-xl+508pp. II-ii+646pp. III-Includes folding map opposite title page with small section of lower edge missing. xii+524pp. IV-xvi+409pp. V-638pp. Uniformly bound in calf with indented decoration and gilt. Spines have four slightly raised bands with gilt lettering. End papers and page edges are marbled. All volumes are heavily rubbed at extremities and more lightly to surface of boards and with splitting to joints between spine and boards. Spines of all volumes are in poor condition and need replacing, heavily rubbed with some loss (see descriptions for each volume below). All volumes have the bookplate of George Hale on fixed end paper. Text blocks of each volume is in very god condition, are tight and the pages and fully attached and in very good condition, nicely crisp and very little foxing. I-Upper board detached. Spine has loss, head 3cm, foot 2cm. II-Loss of 2cm to head of spine and next 2cm is now loose. Upper joint is largely split leaving upper board loose but still attached. III-Upper 2cm of upper board heavily faded. Split to upper joint has left the upper board loosening and in need of attention. Cuts to spine and loss of 2cm to head and 1cm to foot of spine. IV-Split to leather between fourth and fifth band leaving lower 6cm of spine calf a little loose.Loss of 1cm*1cm to rear of head of spine. V-Spine heavily worn and damaged with split upper joint leaving upper board a little loose. Two heavy scuffs to leading edge of upper board. Rear board heavily scuffed with several gouges into the leather. Total weight 4.2kg, additional postage likely. Bestandsnummer des Verkäufers 206340
