A rarity and my favourite Wodehouse wrapper . Its probably unique not because of its rarity but because of its condition. The wrapper is normally like all Burt wrappers very fragile and copies that turn up always have some degree of fade to the spine.I don't think this wrapper has ever been on a book . Its the front panel ,front flap spine and part of the rear panel laid over Mark Terrys facsimile .It has an interesting history .A librarian rescued it in the thirties and kept it in a scrap book . The Burt wrappers that turn up ,and I have many ,are always fragile and in most cases have staining and chips ,but if this wrapper is any guide that's not how they started out. An amazing item.
