The First Pictures of American made by John White and Jacques Le Moynce and Engraved by Theodore de Bry, with contemporary narratives of the Huguenot Settlement in Florida, 1562-1565 and the Virginia Colony, 1585-1590. First Edition as stated, with original linen like cloth boards and maroon title boxes on front and spine. Book is super tight, square and totally free of any blemishes, markings or flaws inside and out. Colored map endpapers and copious color and b/w plates throughout the book. Unnclipped decorated Dust Jacket shows original price of $20.00 and is surprisingly clean and bright, given it's cream color. 292 pages includes index.
