Sir Osbert Lancaster (1908-1986) was a well-known author, particularly remembered for his satirical cartoons in the British press, and for his tireless work to inform the public about architectural heritage. This collection features six of his witty 'pocket cartoons'; his memoirs All Done from Memory and With an Eye to the Future; and his parody of architectural studies Drayneflete Revealed. All works are published by John Murray, apart from Lady Littlehampton and Friends and The Year of the Comet, which are published by Gryphon Books Ltd. Externally, cloth remains bright and smart, except for light marks to the spine of 'Drayneflete Revealed'. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean except for the odd spot to the fore edge, affecting the occasional page. Dust wrappers are generally bright and smart. A little chipping to the upper extremities of the dust wrappers to 'Drayneflete Revealed', 'Lady Littlehampton', 'The Year of the Comet' and 'With an Eye to the Future'. Light marks to the front of the wrap to 'The Year of the Comet'. Faint tide marks and a little shelf wear to the dust wrapper to 'Recorded Live'. Very Good Indeed.
