Small octavo, original blue cloth with white, black, red and gilt illustration to front cover and spine, original dark green endpapers, illustrated throughout in black and white. Travel writing, a "record of a pleasant summer tour" (from dedication) with chapters including: Remains of Viking Ship, Kitchen at Stueflatten, Laplander, Lapp Wedding RIng, Hammerfest, Dalecarlian Costume, Cossack Officer, The Neva, The Kremlin, Russian Peasant, Wine Seller in Moscow Market, Game Vendor, Spasski, etc. Very Good firmly bound volume, slight cocking, corners bumped with some wear to cloth at corners and spine ends, crayon "x" to front endpaper.
