An interesting work on Bristol's ecclesiastical and monumental architecture, signed by the author. Bristol librarian and historian George Pryce enumerates the various ecclesiastical buildings in Bristol, and discusses their history and architectural features in this interesting volume. Illustrated with forty two plates by Pryce. Signed by the author to the dedication page. Inscription reads, 'the author. By William Gols', with a signature beneath. In the publisher's original brown cloth binding. Externally, sound. Lightly rubbed to the boards and the spine, with some moderate wear to the extremities. The spine is missing a slither of cloth to head and tail of the spine. The front and rear joints have nearly failed due to tears in the cloth. The front and rear hinges have failed. Internally, generally firmly bound. The title page and frontispiece are disbound, and the first few pages are loose.
