First edition, no dust wrapper. Blue boards with gilt lettering on the spine. Covers are well thumbed and rubbed, some fading and white marks. Head and tail of spine bumped, corners smooth and bear heavy some wear. Corners bumped. Spine lightly sunned. Pastedowns, free endpapers and title pages bear moderate discolouration, so too the occasional page throughout. Previous owner's inscription upon front free endpaper reads: "To Bessy, Wishing her a Happy Birthday, from Edith 7-4-1923". Pages throughout are discoloured due to age. Page edges well thumbed, discoloured and lightly rubbed. Binding split at the front pastedown, else neat. Previous bookseller's sticker on tail of pastedown: Blake's Busy Book Bizaar, Albury, NSW.
