Illustrated with forty-six full-page b/w reproductions of photographs by Czech artist Miroslav Hak, representing ten years of photographic work from 1935-1945. "In 1936 Miroslav Hák then an unknown photographer sent 4 pictures to the international exhibition of photography arranged by the photographic section of S. V. U. Mánes. Two of them are in this set of pictures, No. 2 "Day and night" which bore the name "Photography" in the catalogue of the exhibition and No. 4 "Rainy day." I vividly remember how we members of the jury, were struck by the conception, subject, expression and poetic and artistic language of the pictures." (Linhart).
