One tissue-guard with tear and partial loss. 4to; 10.25 inches tall (27.5cm); x, 347p. 80 captioned tissue-guarded plates, several in color. Illustrations: James Orrock. James Orrock (1829 -1913), was a prominent Scottish collector of art and oriental ceramics, illustrator and landscape watercolorist. Some modern scholars like to believe Orrock was a forger and not only a dedicated enthusiast of contemporary British art who emulated some of those artists in his own work.
