Chapter Four, The Learned Elders, recounts how the Protocols of the Learned Elders of Zion are argued to be a forgery derived from an 1865 work by Joly. Crosland claims Joly was a Jew and that "it is far more likely that what he wrote was derived from an earlier version of the Protocols than that the Protocols are derived from his book." - p 31.
