One leaf is made from the shirts and underwear of various contemporary bookmen; another is taken from a blank book of old Dutch paper. Taylor A8. This was by far the largest Bird & Bull edition to date. It took Mr. Morris thirty weeks just to make the paper used for it. Pale lilac endpapers. The book was the result of a trip the Morrises took to Europe in 1967.
