First edition hardback, 1902, with no jacket. Mudie's Select Library label to front board. In overall good used condition with minor signs of handling and storage - original cloth boards rubbed to edges with wear at spine head and tail and spine slightly faded. Internally clean. Binding overall tight - hinges slightly strained, no annotations - private bookplate to front pastedown and name to half-title page dated 1905; toning to rough-trimmed page-ends but text bright and clear throughout.
