Well worn but solid original covers and the contents have NO marks and no tears or flaws, bright and beautiful on lovely laid paper. Most notable for collector's of tobbacciana is Mills humorous ode to his cigar. There is a mix of sentimental and comic verses with some Scots dialect verse as well. THERE ARE NO COPIES OF THE ORIGINAL BOOK FOR SALE AT ANY OF THE 26 MAJOR INTERNATIONAL BOOK SEARCH ENGINES WORLDWIDE and only a handful in library special collections. the shabby modern reprints are available but even these are not cheap. the hinges are solid and tight and though the covers might be only be 'Fair' they are not 'flaky' or tender in any way. the contents are certainly Very Good. so overall I grade this rarity a solid 'good' Wonderful Baltimore imprint as well and I just started researching the author who calls himself 'Comedian' which is intriguing in itself, especially at this early date.
