xviii+242, 41 ills (all graphs), 74 tables; clean, tight, unworn and unmarkeed, spine just a little faded; unclipped jacket, now in protective wrapper, seriously browned and crumbling along front fore-edge, rear fore-edge also browning but less affected, thin brown strip across bottom edge, top edge has various small nicks and tears, at some point the jacket was removed and inserted inside which has resulted in some creasing - thin crease down spine and creases along fore-edges in particular. Have internally salvaged as best I could with transparent tear-repair tape, especially along front fore-edge. The Original wrapper is scarce with extensive text to front and list of books on play and games on back, so clearly worth preserving. Pioneering quantitative study of childrens play activities and, I see, includes a chapter on race differences.
