A near fine copy (slight rubbing to cloth, previous owner's name and inscription to the front free end-paper) in a VG dustwrapper with a small chip to the head of the spine, rubbing to extremities, fading to red areas of spine, a few short, closed tears). Correctly priced at '5/- net' to te spine as called for. NB: This, the first UK Edition (from February 1934), precedes the US Edition (published in March 1964). The story of the author's attempts to bring meaning to his personal life and his transformation, after attending regular meetings of Sam Shoemaker's Oxford Group circle, where he met and befriended Bill Wilson, the co-founder of Alcoholics Anonymous. The Oxford Group was an important influence on Alcoholics Anonymous and Bill Wilson. A key title in the history of The Oxford Group and Alcoholics Anonymous. Scarce in the dustwrapper.
