First edition. Fairly large stain on foredge encroaching a bit on the margins of some pages thus good in near very good dust jacket with several small chips and tears, and some age-toning. A scarce title, basis for the Rodgers and Hart Broadway musical which made a star of Gene Kelly. The musical was to be filmed right away but it was repeatedly shelved for various reasons until finally filmed in 1957 by director George Sidney with Rita Hayworth and Kim Novak vying for the affection of Frank Sinatra as Joey.
