Originally serialized in "Weird Tales" in the fall of 1923, this is its 1948 first book publication by Griffin Publishing House (an imprint of Fantasy Publishing Company.) It features four full-page engraved illustrations by R.K. Murphy, and jacket art by Jack Gaughan (one of his first book jackets.) Its hardcovers are covered in brown cloth, with dark brown titles on its spine. This book is in near fine condition, marred only by slight spine lean, plus traces of wear on spine ends. Its binding is sound, with no spine crease. Covers are unmarked and otherwise unworn. Pages are unmarked and unworn, with some normal light age toning. Its dust jacket, now protected by a removable mylar cover, is in very good+ condition: whole, bright and unmarked, with some light wear at top of spine and top of front flap fold, and some light stains or soiling on its back. I will ship this book in a moisture proof zip-loc bag, padded in bubble wrap, inside a sturdy box to assure it reaches its new owner in the same condition as my description.
