Company, (1928), Both Books Are Complete, With Stapled Spines, White Spine Paper, Cover Illustrations Are The Same On Front And Back: In Ma Little Rabbit's Ears Are Washed, In Pa Little Rabbit Bounces On Pa's Leg, The Reverse Of The Front And Back Cover Pages, "Endpapers", Contain The Same Full Page Blue And White Illustration Of Ma Arriving Home To Her Family, Identical In Both Books Except For The Titles. Colored Illustrations In Text On Every Other Page And Many B/W Line Drawings And 14 Text Pages (Including The Covers). Pa In Better Shape Than Ma, Ma's Spine Has Been Strengthened With Archival Ph Balanced Tape As Is The Inside Of The Covers. Liberal Use Is Made Of Beatrix Potter's Details In These Books, But Little Of Her Writing Style. Brundage's Illustrations Show A Cozy Family, Aris' Refer To Potter's, Albert's Are Looser And More Cartoonish. In Ma, Peter Decides To Avoid Ma's New Rules By Running Away, With Predictable Results. In Pa, Peter And His Father Pay A Harvesting Visit To Farmer Smith's Field; Both Go To Sleep On The Way Home And The Birds Carry Off Most Of Their Loot. Both These Books Were Issued In Paper As Well As A Kind Of Linenette, Although Turner Cites Pa Only In Paper. In This Grouping, Pa Is In Linentex, And Ma Is In Paper. #216 Ma, #220 Pa. Very Hard To Find As A Set. Condition: Vg; Neither Book Has Names Or Other Marks, Both Very Clean And Straight, Chipped Cover Of 'Ma' Repaired With Archival Ph Balanced Adhesive.
