An Exceptional Copy. Sameul Ireland's Son William Was Responsible For The Infamous Forgery Of A Supposedly Newly Discovered Play By William Shakespeare In The 1790S. Initially The Literary Society Was Swept Up In The Euphoria Of A New Play By The Bard. Even Samuel Johnson's Biographer James Boswell Declared It To Be Genuine. However Doubts Started To Be Made About Its Authenticity And Eventually The Book Was Declared A Forgery. With William Henry Eventually Confessing In 1805 To Having Made The Forgery.
