1973, First Edition and First Printing.Black cloth boards with gilt lettering on the binding in very good condition. Gold medallion on front board. Top binding has very slight tear. Boards have some slight stains(see pictures) .183 pages in very good condition, although there is some pencilled underlining by prior owner. The frontpiece has a wonderful photograph of the Medallion of Plutarch with verses by Simon Goulart from "Les Hommes illustres grecs et romains", translated from the Greek by Jacques Amyot, published by Frederic Leonard, Paris, 1655.
