No date but believed to be First Edition and First printing of book and dust jacket. Original pictorial cloth, 288 printed pages complete with the six full page black and white plate illustrations as called for. Boards are clean and straight with no bumping or spine lean, text block spotted, contents free from foxing, marking or previous owner¿s names or inscriptions. Ffep missing which has resulted in the half-title page being torn at the binding and repaired with ¿invisible¿ tape. Binding sound throughout with no loose pages or hint of cracking. A very solid, clean copy. Dust jacket is lightly worn with chipping to head of spine and one small closed tear repair to front; wholly intact otherwise.
