L'exposé concerne le mouvement en rapport avec les corps, la pesanteur, le choc des corps, la statique, l'équilibre des forces et des poids, l'hydrostatique, l'équilibre des liquides et l'hydraulique et la formation de l'ellipse. Il est orné de 25 planches techniques gravées sur cuivre, dont une à système. L'ouvrage a connu deux tirages, qui se distinguent par la mise en page et par la correction du texte : le nôtre correspond au premier, reconnaissable notamment par l'absence de préface et par l'introduction du chapitre "Formation de l'ellipse" au sein des feuillets liminaires (pp. I à XX). The work is about body-related motion, gravity, body shock, static, balance of forces and weights, hydrostatic, fluid balance and hydraulics, and formation of the ellipse. It is illustrated with 25 technical plates, of which one with flaps. The book had two prints, which are distinguished by the layout and correction of the text: ours corresponds to the first, recognizable in particular by the absence of preface and the introduction of the chapter "Formation of the ellipse "within the opening slips (pp I to XX).
