Top edge gilt, darkened. Corners and spine ends a little bumped and worn, not greatly. Cloth with overall handling soiling, but no significant damage; (internally, the contents show very little indeed signs of handling). 288pp, extensively illustrated with full-page colour reproductions and sepia prints with tissue-guards, all present, clean and correct. In addition, a profusion of b/w woodcuts as vignettes and chapter heads. Text block tight, bright and clean, with no additional markings or inscriptions.
