Textured dark green cloth with stamped bright gilt lettering on front and spine. Viking ship is stamped in black on front and spine as well. Stamped double lined ruling around perimeter of front and top edge gilt. Book is tight, square, relatively sharp-cornered - with some minor bumping - and free of markings or flaws inside or out, other than prior owners name on FFEP. Bought from the estate of the same owner - a one-owner book. This is the First Edition, prior to the English edition, which contain Four colored plates by Arthur Rackham, which were not included in the English Edition.
