Contemporary half-calf over blue marbled boards, flat spine with gilt lettering and decorations in compartments, speckled edges. Fine, fresh copy of uncommon first edition of one of the earliest attempts to systematise the history of Armenian literature. Spanning a period from II century until mid XVII century, the present volume mentions the works of Gregory the Illuminator, Mesrop Mashtots and other key figures in Armenian history.
