La Nazione was founded in 1859 by Bettino Ricasoli who promoted the idea of a unified Italy through its pages. The next year Alessandro D'Ancona was editor, followed by Piero Puccioni from 1860 to 1869. These are most likely the contributors to this anonymous work.
