Red Cloth Gilt. Zustand: Very Good. Pp. 240. Singed & dated at top margin of title page: "P. Redmond (?) Barry." Neat annotations & amendments in re ink in a neat hand suggest that this copy was used to revise and update the standing orders of the regiment. The printed name of the Field Marshal who had revised and approved the amendments was Earl Roberts. The amended name of his successor in pen was French. So in a sense this book contains the standing orders of two field marshals. The original in printed form and the revised one in neat red ink overlaid on the printed version.
