This first English edition was not translated directly from the original German editions but is mainly drawn from the author's notes & recollections of tours made through the district. Some rubbing to spine, spine ends, edges & front corners. Slight loss at spine head. A few flecks of foxing on front prelims only. Bookplate of noted mountaineer Vernon Howard.
