Large 8vo. Pp xxiv, (4 page list of the subscribers to the large paper edition), 529. 46 plates. Original cloth, gilt. Beveled edges. Printed paper title label to spine. Spine faded and with wear to head and foot. Light damp-staining to front board, becoming moderate to top edge. There is a serious, semi circular area of staining damage to the top edge of the lower board. This staining has penetrated and affected the index section at the end of the volume, though the staining is above, and does not affect, the text. See photo.
