A very interesting and informative document listing all the accidents and actual causes by day and month in all the countries of England, Wales, Scotland and Ireland. The return covers details such as injuries/deaths, where, date, type of person injured/killed, name of rail company, name/cause of accident and how many. Also includes a further report with open letters from the said railway companies giving even greater details of each accident for only Feb, April and May 1859. 35 pages, complete in it's own right. Taken from a bound up book that would have held the reports for parliament for that period. This was quite common to bind up the acts to keep them together probably for public or business use.Pages are in quite good condition. More images can be taken upon request. Ref15516.
