Included with the book are two signed letters by De la Roche dated 1941 and 1946. A First Edition, First Impression in near fine condition. The binding is straight and tight, the boards clean and the lettering on the spine bright. The end papers and pages are free from marks, tears or inscriptions. There is some foxing to the fore edge. The unclipped dust jacket is in good condition with a tear to the top corner of the front cover, sun damage to the spine, shelf wear to the top and bottom edges of the spine and some staining to the darkened back cover.
