Each page is a different elaborate and delicate silhouette picture with the text superimposed. Chéri Hérouard (1881 - 1961) was a French book and magazine illustrator who was most famously known for forty-five-years of his elegant and rather risque work for French society magazine, La Vie Parisienne.
