Lawrence was a prolific writer, mostly of children's books, many for the Stratemeyer Syndicate; she wrote well-received but now mostly forgotten novels for adults later in her career. Hardcover in jacket, as pictured. First or early printing, with titles listed inside the jacket published up to 1926. This and most other Cupples & Leon titles were frequently reprinted with no mention of printing or change in the copyright date, but with updated jacket art.
