Papworth's "Rural Residences", consisting of a series of ".designs for cottages, decorated cottages, small villas and other ornamental buildings, accompanied by hints on situation, construction etc. and interspersed with "some observations on landscape gardening by John B. Papworth, Architect." The binding is of a later date, very neatly and firmly done in fine fawn cloth and ideal for researchers. A series of 27 illustrations, each beautifully hand coloured with watercolour interspersed with text. etc. The first three and last two blank pages are a little foxed but the text and illustrations are very good.This is a first edition. 7 3/4" x ll".
