Published in 1933, this is the English First Edition of H. G. Wells classic speculative novel of the future. This example is a complimentary copy sent out by the publishers to the Welsh Newspaper, The Western Mail & South Wales News, which was then forwarded to their journalist Frederick J. Mathias of Cardiff for him to write a review of the book, loosely inserted into the book is a newspaper clipping of his published lengthy review of the book, also the accompanying letter from the newspaper to him, plus six sides of the manuscript notes he made about the book for his review, plus further handwritten notes written on the reverse of the letter. The books spine is sunned with some wear and a small split to the cloth at the head of the spine, light corner bump to top of upper board, internally contents are generally nice and clean, with the publisher's complimentary stamp to the title page.
