Sm. folio. 48pp. Original wrappers with color illustrated paste-down on front cover. Humorous propaganda work, profusely illustrated with numerous b/w reproductions of cartoons drawn in line & silhouette by English artist Weath Heath Robinson (1872-1944). During WWI Robinson produced many satirical cartoons, which proved popular with officers and soldiers alike because it ridiculed, and undermined the efficiency of the German army (the 'Saintly Hun'). Illustrated title-page. Wraps creased and soiled. Bottom corner bumped and creased, affecting pages throughout. Three-inch closed tear on page 15 & 21.
