Schubert by Edmondstoune Duncan (part of The Master Musicians series, edited by Frederick J. Crowest). Hardback, 1905, with eight illustration plates, examples of musical notation and appendices, published by , London, 281 pages + x.Octavo/8vo. Measures around 7 3/8" by 5 5/8" by 1 1/8". Burgundy-red cloth binding, gilt lettering and pictorial detail to front board and spine. A little discolouration but colouring reasonably vivid. Scuffing and a little marking, some signs of shelf-wear, slightly bumped corners. Binding reasonably firm, slight slackness but holding well and no cracking to hinges. Page edges deckled with browning, foxing, scuffing and marking. Upper edges gilt. A little foxing throughout page surfaces. Some marking to endpapers, previous owner inscription to front pastedown but otherwise page surfaces clean, with no underlining, marginalia, etc. See pictures for further information. 281+ pp. Bestandsnummer des Verkäufers BIBLIO-043
