A charming first edition of this novel, in the scarce and highly decorative unclipped dust wrapper. The first edition of the work. Scarce, particularly in the original unclipped dust wrapper. Undated, dated from copies held at the British Library. With a frontispiece and three further plates. Collated complete. The Shadow of the Guillotine is an action packed novel, set in the backdrop of the French revolution. George E. Rochester was a British writer, heavily influenced by his time spent in the Royal Flying Corps. In the original orange cloth binding in the original unclipped dust wrapper. Externally very smart with minor shelf wear only. Dust wrapper is smart with the occasional closed tear. Chipping to front of wrap and lower spine. The odd handling mark to the wrap.
